This week, on the continued Adventures of Bank Kid and Grandma…
Heyo!
I can now confidently say that, due to a combination of some hardcore code-grinding, fixing some links, and my hosting provider getting their shizzle together, things should be working better than ever. Thanks for hanging through all this, and sorry if any of those factors affected your reading experience and internet safety!
Please stay safe in the non-virtual space, too.
-Death M.C.
Hey all!
I am sure there are a million more pertinent issues on your minds during this time of crisis. I hope that- if you are reading this- it is from the safety of a warm blanket in a safe home.
I just wanted to make you aware of some technical issues I’ve been experiencing, as a result of some inconsistent service from my host’s servers. I would not be surprised if this is just one side effect of the global crisis we are experiencing! I don’t claim to fully understand it, but the problem seems to be fixed for now. I have also- hopefully- successfully validated the site’s security certificate, so if you are worried about anything sinister that may happen while browsing this site, please know that I meant no harm! Running a site has been a learning experience for me, and updates to general policies about web safety, WordPress updates and errors, and other random nonsense certainly don’t help me learn any faster XD
If you are concerned about using the site as it is, feel free to follow the links above to read this comic on Tapas. I will also post full pages to Tumblr when I am having issues with this site’s service. I do not expect there to be any changes to the quality or availability of this comic due to Covid-19, but what sort of social-media-addict would I be if I didn’t at least name-drop it!
Have a wonderful day, and be well
~ Death McHandsome
Long time, no speak! This has been a hell of a year, or two. Or some indeterminate amount of time since things were on track. But it’s the sort of life you as for, when you decide to be an undead abomination living in a trash bin.
At this point, things are starting to seriously look up. I had to take a bit of time off from being alive for medical reasons. Summer camp! Another infected bee sting! The basement of my apartment building EXPLODED on the hottest day in summer! We moved into a new place the day before I started taking classes again- only to find it was filled with little creepy crawlies! Now, the place is great to live in, but we may not even be able to stay for long!
And most lately, and most fortunately, a never-ending job-hunt has come to an end! I can breathe for the first time in what feels like forever, knowing that every day does not have to be a battle. So in exchange for this wonderful gift from life, I offer my best effort to making this comic HAPPEN in the next few months, now that things are finally settled into a rhythm.
Expect to see much more of these fools soon 😀
Love, Carrion (a.k.a. Death McHandsome)
Thanks for your patience as I pick up all that rubble folks. If you haven’t yet read through the current story, now’s your chance! Stay tuned for more adventures here, and for announcements on Tumblr, instagram and Tapastic 🙂
-Carrion, who is now napping heavily in a landfill
Well howdy there, super-fans!
Some of what you are about to see may seem all too familiar to long-time readers of The Ne’er-Do-Wells comic. This project has been a long time in the making, and has lived at many different web and print homes since it began.
Every era must however come to an end, and unfortunately I- the undead illustrator, web-hoster and #1 fan of the Sapphire City Supergroup, returned home after a sojourn to the woods to find the old website broken beyond repair. After nearly a week of troubleshooting, it was determined that the only way to salvage the situation was to wipe the site clean and reinstall WordPress. Without having any access to the administrative settings, I wasn’t able to salvage any of the data, posts or silly jokes made on the old site, so some of that character will have to be reimagined as I reupload the comic here.
The new site WILL, eventually, be identical to the old in terms of the content you’ll find. It will take some time to recreate everything you may remember about it, but that will be done in tandem with the release of new pages, and will hopefully be worth the wait.
I sincerely appreciate your continued patience, support and love, and look forward to sharing more of this story with you. Ta-ta for now!
